Meet
Frances Ann Oliver:
Professional Organizer, Coach & Teacher
Frances brings
joy, enthusiasm, and passion to her career as a professional
organizer, whether she is creating order and harmony in peoples’
homes, providing transformational coaching by phone, imparting
her expertise in class, or inspiring others with dynamic,
engaging presentations.
She has a gift for
blending beauty and efficiency. Frances builds on her studies
with the Sheffield School of Interior Design in New York and
classes in feng shui to create space organizing solutions
that are aesthetically pleasing, highly-functional, and calming.
Frances has a B.A.
in psychology from Smith College and a certificate in psychology
from the University of Geneva, Switzerland. As such, she prefers
to tackle a problem at its roots, rather than to work only
on the symptoms. She has a unique ability to tap into peoples’
strengths, helping to build their self-confidence and a "can-do"
attitude around organizing, downsizing, and simplifying.
With a lively interest
in spiritual traditions from around the world and in voluntary
simplicity, Frances brings depth and compassion to her work.
Dedicated to her profession, Frances is a member of the National
Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) and the National
Study Group on Chronic Disorganization (NSGCD). She has served
on the Board of Directors of NAPO’s San Diego Chapter
and has earned 2 certificates from NSGCD: a CD Specialist
Certificate and a Certificate of Study in Basic ADD Issues
with the CD Client.
Prior to founding Soul of Simplicity, Frances had a 23-year
career in Washington, DC. Her experience there included running
her own consulting firm, Oliver & Associates; earning
an M.S. in Employment Policy at George Washington University;
directing the multimillion dollar planning and budgeting operations
of the National Alliance of Business; and organizing high-level
conferences for such clients as Marriott Management Services,
the U.S. Department of Labor, and Unity in Yoga.
Frances currently resides in Ashland, Oregon.
